Day two follows the Ziz gorges and palm valley, the blue spring of Meski and the fossil workshops of Erfoud to the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
You spend two nights in Merzouga: sunset and sunrise from the dunes, Gnawa music in Khamlia, the seasonal flamingo lake and the souk of Rissani. The way back runs through the Todra and Dades Gorges, the Valley of Roses and Skoura to Ouarzazate, then over the Tizi n’Tichka pass via Aït Ben Haddou and Telouet. The last day is for Marrakech itself: Majorelle Garden, the Koutoubia, the Saadian Tombs and Jemaa el-Fnaa. See also our 7-day itinerary guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you book
How much does this tour cost?
This tour starts from €590 per person. The final price depends on your date and the size of your group: send us your date and number of people on WhatsApp (+212 661-757505) and we confirm the price quickly. Payment is in cash on the day, in dirhams or euros.
What makes the 7-day tour different from the 3-day desert trip?
Time and route. The 3-day tour goes to Merzouga and back along the same road; this one reaches the desert through Bin el Ouidane, Imilchil and the Ziz Valley, spends two nights in Merzouga instead of one, and returns by the Todra and Dades Gorges, the Valley of Roses and Aït Ben Haddou, with a final day in Marrakech.
How many nights do you spend in the Sahara?
Two nights at Merzouga by the Erg Chebbi dunes, with camel rides at sunset and time on the second day for Khamlia, the flamingo lake and the souk of Rissani.
Does the tour return to Marrakech?
Yes. Day 6 crosses the High Atlas from Ouarzazate by the Tizi n'Tichka pass, and day 7 is spent discovering Marrakech before the tour ends.
How long are the driving days?
The first two days are the longest — about 6 to 8 hours with stops — as the route crosses the Atlas via Bin el Ouidane and Imilchil. From Merzouga onwards the stages are shorter, around 3 to 5 hours, with plenty of stops.
Is the tour private or shared with other travellers?
It runs as a private tour with your own driver and vehicle, so departure times and stops can be adjusted along the way. Tell us your group size when you book and the vehicle is matched to it.
What is the best season for a 7-day Sahara tour?
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). Summer is very hot in the desert, and in winter the nights in Merzouga and in Imilchil, at over 2,000 m, are cold.
