This 4-day desert tour from Marrakech is a loop through the south of Morocco at a relaxed pace. Day one crosses the High Atlas by the Tizi n’Tichka pass to Aït Ben Haddou, Ouarzazate and the Dades Gorges; day two follows the Todra Gorges to the dunes of Erg Chebbi, where a camel takes you to a desert camp in Merzouga for sunset and a night under the stars.
Instead of rushing back, day three takes the desert road through Rissani, Alnif and N’Kob to Ouarzazate, and day four returns over the mountains to Marrakech in the afternoon. Private car and driver, hotels and camp included, on the date you choose.

4-day itinerary, step by step
Marrakech – Dades
Pickup at 7 am at your riad or hotel. Cross the High Atlas by the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 m), visit the kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate, then follow the Skoura oasis and the Valley of Roses to the Dades Gorges. Dinner and night in a hotel.
Dades – Merzouga
Walk into the Todra Gorges, then drive through Tinghir, Erfoud and Rissani to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Camel trek to the desert camp at sunset, dinner, Berber music and a night under the stars.
Merzouga – Ouarzazate
Sunrise over the dunes, camel ride back and breakfast. Drive through Rissani, Alnif and N'Kob along the edge of the desert and the Draa Valley to Ouarzazate. Dinner and night in a kasbah hotel.
Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Morning visit of the Taourirt kasbah or the film studios, then back over the Tizi n'Tichka pass with photo stops. Arrival in Marrakech around 4 pm.
